The Damond Motorsports Oil Catch Can kits come with everything needed for an optimized Oil Catch Can system. An oil catch can is, in a sense, a filter for the positive crankcase ventilation system. The oil catch can(OCC for short) is used to tap and contain blow-by oils and condensed crankcase gases, that would otherwise flow throughout the PCV system back into the intake tract, and allows for draining of these fluids remotely. With the addition of an OCC kit, blow-by oils and gasses are routed to the OCC, allowing them to be captured. This prevents the blow-by from entering the intake system, where it would otherwise contaminate the clean air entering the engine. Cleaner air leads to better combustion, more power, better fuel economy, less detonation, and less oily build-up on the valves.

What sets the Damond Motorsports OCC kits apart from the rest, is that we fully test our OCC components, to insure the best OCC set-up for your vehicle. Only high quality components are used in the Damond Motorsports OCC kits. Our OCC kits come tailored to fit your Focus ST perfectly, for a no-hassle, quick and simple instillation.

The DM Stage 2 OCC kit connects into the valve cover PCV/above engine induction tube hose connection. Oily blow-by contaminates travel this path during boost, as the intake is intended to pull a slight vacuum as air travels past the PCV port. This causes a fine oily mist that would otherwise flow into the intake, turbo, and eventually intercooler and piping. With the Stage 2 DM OCC kit in place, the hoses route the blow-by to the OCC, where they can be filtered and cleaner air is sent back into the intake. In turn the primary benefits are: cleaner air mixture, and less oily build-up on the valves and in the intake manifold. We also offer our Vent To Atmosphere valve and filter to be added to the OCC. The VTA valve is a 1-way valve which only allows excess crankcase pressure exceeding the intake’s vacuum to be vented. The VTA valve is closed under engine vacuum or when crankcase pressure is non-existent, to not allow un-metered air into the system. The DM Stage 2 OCC kit is recommended along with and after the DM Stage 1 OCC kit is installed.

Included in each Damond Motorsports Stage 2 OCC kit:
-A Damond Motorsports OCC
-Hose splicer connectors to connect to the OEM hose to the OCC hoses, and additional sized hose to fit various aftermarket induction tubes
-Oil and vacuum resistant Black hoses
-Location specific bracket, and mounting hardware to mount the OCC off the HPFP housing cover on the valve cover(sound symposer delete is needed as the OCC takes up space of the SSD valve, we offer one here)
-Slim stainless steel hose clamps
-Zip ties to keep the hoses at bay
-Drain barb and hose included
-VTA kit optional, to vent excess crankcase pressure

The DM OCC features:
-Fully welded external aluminum structure. Welded on ports for a nice clean look, and to keep weight at a minimum.
-Layers and layers and layers of perforated baffle plates, allowing a large surface area for blow-by vapors to latch onto and keep the intake tract clean. The bottom layer features an oil scraper. Blow-by is forced directly onto the scraper, while the air is pushed around the sides of the can to the back of the lower chamber. The air is then drawn up diagonally through 3 more perforated plates, before it exits the top chamber.
-A super easy to use high flowing drain valve.
-Powder coated for enhanced durability.

Very good looking part!

The quality and finish on the product is top notch too bad it is hidden from view. Installation was super easy and only took about 15-20 minutes. The only complaints I have is the bracket needs to position the OCC about an inch higher to get better clearance on the shift linkage. I had to cant the OCC ever so slightly. Other than that it works perfectly.

Does what it’s supposed to do!!!!

I had this installed in my car for about almost 2 months. I wanted to wait before I did a review. Quality of the catch can is great, includes everything needed for install.the reason I purchased was because I was having a problem with oil being blown out of my blow off valve(I have a cpe cold side pipe with tial blow off valve). This is catching all blow by from my valve cover to air intake. This catch can is amazing. Thanks Damond Motorsport.

Best design I’ve seen yet

I purchased the stage 2 OCC with VTA option. I highly recommend!

Best design for an OCC I have seen so far. Install took about 15 minutes with another 5-10 to check for any leaks. There were none. Install was really straight forward though I’d highly recommend taking the time to set up the drain through the splash plate as taking the can entirely off the mounting bracket to drain is the only other way.

Damond did a great job picking the mounting location as well, as the threaded bolt is around 2” with plenty of room for the mounting bracket.

If your considering a stage 2 OCC I cannot recommend this product enough.
